Laura will explore and share her interests in geomorphology, peatlands, co-productive ecologies and artistic field-based activities through a number of her recent artistic projects, including Fieldworking, Cleambering and dissonance (ecotone).
Laura will also lead a short outdoor walking activity where participants will move, amongst other things, and accumulate conversations as you go. You might not always move in a straight line but you will be moving mostly with your feet on the ground. Participants will take their time, allowing space for noticing or paying attention in different ways to things you might easily miss.

Laura Harrington is an artist and researcher who works with the complex relations between humans and unstable/overlooked landscapes, often through cross-disciplinary research and co-production. Situated between art, science and philosophy her practice of film-making, installation, drawing, fieldwork and listening seeks to create works that centre on an idea of ‘upstream consciousness’, an ethos for engaging with the source as opposed to the results, that often draws draws on upland and peatland ecologies to think about various relations and connections.
